Big 4 gone after this year
Top Assistant and glue for a lot of the players Gary R leaving to go be a HC and taking a bunch of assistants with him?
What’s the thought on how we will look next year and beyond?

Kim has lost great players and assistants before. She is who she is and we will sustain a high quality program.

I think it has more to do with Mulkey more than anything. Fargas's last year, LSU finished 8th in the league...Mulkey's first year LSU is 2nd in the SEC and goes to the second round. So with Mulkey in charge I'm not as concerned.

Literally Redus and 1 other asst are leaving….. it’s a natural collegiate coaching cycle

No Mulkey is still the coach

Gary Redus was always posting to social media how much he and Angel Reese were working on her post moves and shots around the goal.
That's a big "F" grade if you ask me. Apparently he never instructed her to shoot the basketball above her head and not just flip it up to the goal from her waist and hope it bangs in.

I think the more interesting question is with the WNBA about to approve massive pay increases where players can start making more like half a mil a year up to a million per year; do we start to see more early declarations for the WNBA as a result? Previously it just didnt make much sense with no money really there and NIL able to probably pay as much or even more in some cases.

I don’t think that’ll last long considering how much money the organization loses and the nba can’t keep increasing the subsidies

They seem to be basing this off a massive new TV contract where its like $2.2B over next 11 years or about $200M/yr just from tv money. Right now they make $50-$60M/yr from tv by comparison.
Recent WNBA losses were like $40M/yr.
So in theory, the NBA shouldnt even have to subsidize the league at all any more.

Angel would have probably been a 2 time All American and high draft choice with better coaching.

Let the WNBA (and any other organization) live or die on its own merit.

When did ONE become a "bunch"?

She was 2 time All American because she was bigger and more athletic than most college players. She was able to get offensive rebounds and putbacks.
If she was a more skilled shooter around the goal she wouldn't be routinely mocked on social media. She literally flips the ball up from shoulder height and just hopes the ball richochets off the backboard into the goal.

Nobody denies she has a problem getting the ball in the basket. Coaches love a rebounding machine and ball hog under the rim though

She's a two time allstar in the pros.

She's mocked on social media because she taunted Clark and it pissed off some white people. Also it's easy engagement bait.

That TV deal is an NBA subsidy.
The NBA forces it on networks to get their NBA rights

It's a deal for both the NBA and WNBA; the WNBA just gets a much smaller allocated portion of it. The total deal is $76B over 11 years, or about $6.9B/yr.
The WNBA portion of it is only $2.2B, or $200M/yr.
The WNBA right now gets about $50M-60M from tv currently.
So this is where they are basing the increases off of and again, in theory the WNBA wont be in the red every year where the NBA has to send tens of millions to float it.
