Was at a non-disclosed location in the Atchafalaya Basin yesterday, noticed 2 different aluminum, flat-bottomed boats with an enclosed bow, 4 bucket seats, approximately 20’, and hi-po Mercury Racing 2-stroke engines. Anyone familiar with this type of boat?

They have a million different guys in that area who build the exact boat you’re talking about.

And they will all argue on how theirs is the best because it’s .5in wider on the bottom or has a lil more rake to it or some special passed down pad it rides on lol

Ran a 26’ scully for two months and it’s like riding in a beer can. Noisy and rough with shite handling.

You can't make an aluminum boat ride like a glass or wood boat without getting really weird (expensive) with the construction and adding weight to it.

Developable surfaces are a bitch.
