Took my son yesterday for a showing and last year for the original rerelease, not an Oscar movie but a nice little piece of my childhood that I loved and was able to share with my son. He enjoyed it so did I and laughed so hard at Michelangelo when he said “ A little to Raph” in the junkyard.

It’s a solid movie in its own right, but pales in comparison to the original which is legitimately awesome. It was just too comical and the toned down violence stands out (in a bad way). Also, replacing Rocksteady and Bebop with Tokka and Razaar was terrible (never read up on it but I assume maybe it was licensing issues?). I’m also not an Ernie Reyes fan.
But it’s still fun and fairly quotable (my friends and I still use the “a little too Raph” a good bit). And the Vanilla Ice song is cool.

They're both magical to.me because I was 7 when the first one came out but it's almost like the first one was for adults and the second was the kids' one. Hell I get choked up during the campfire scene in the first one when Splinter's spirit or whatever shows up. Damn animatronic tears and that score still get me

Yeah the first one is just awesome. The second one is a little less awesome. But to be able to share it with my son was truly amazing.

I watched the first one with my son recently and it holds up quite well. I still really enjoyed it, and my son loved it.

Yesterday I went to Reminders of Him with my wife. She sees every action movie with me so I always acquiesce too any of her requests.
The next theater was showing this and I immediately hated my life choices.

Gonna have to rewatch. All I remember was how badass Super Shredder was.

I've seen TMNT2 I don't know how many dozens of times. Definitely a core childhood memory.
But TMNT is an infinitely better movie.

Played by Kevin Nash. Yes, That Kevin Nash. This was around his "Oz" period in WCW before he was Diesel in WWF.
