Pelicans robbed by the refs. They won that hard fought game.

fricking bullshite no call on the foul on Dejounte and then Borrego is too stupid to challenge it. Unbelievable.

I really didn’t understand the no challenge decision man. At the very least you could’ve gotten a proximate foul call.

You cannot challenge with less than 2 minutes in a game.

He was grabbed a bit. But that’s not why the turnover happened. It was because he and Zion weren’t on the same page. He ran up and stopped and tried to seal his man to receive a pass in the high post but Zion thought he was gonna keep running.

Yes it is. He can still get to the ball even if they weren't on the same page.

I disagree. The holding happened before the ball was passed. And he was trying to push him back to seal him off which took him in the opposite direction of the pass, which left him flat-footed with his momentum in the opposite direction when he went to go chase down the ball. I’m not confident he was gonna chase that down even with zero contact because of how he was trying to receive the pass.
It was physical and there was bumping, but honestly you gotta expect that on a final play of the game. Regardless of the contact, it was a terrible pass and that’s not a winning basketball play.
I used to complain more about the refs than I do now. I understand better how they call games and what they tend to allow and what they tend to let go, and the way I look at it now is that a team just has to make plays to win regardless of the refs. Complaining about refs is a waste of energy. Just make plays and win the game no matter what. That’s how watch games now.

Again, disagree. You can see herb get hit again and fouled on the seal when the ball is on its first bounce. He got fouled twice on the play. He tried to sell it at the end but probably just lost his feet, because again, he got fouled.

There was some contact but it was still a poor play. If the pass was good and a bump caused him to get knocked over, they probably would have called it. But they probably hesitated to call anything that could be seen as a bailout of a broken play.
If it happened the other way I’d probably be annoyed too that nothing was called with the contact too, but I’d also know that’s how these things go late in games and you just gotta find a way to win and fight through it. I’d be more pissed at my team.

He is literally on top of herb after the ball is unbounded.

Yes, I know. Herb was backing him down to seal him off. Then the pass was thrown and they both ran for the ball “Literally on top of him” is hyperbole. Herb was bumped from behind. Was it a foul? Under the letter of the law, probably. But that terrible pass surely led the refs to let it play out rather than bail them out.
You gotta be better than that to win a game in crunch time. Can’t rely on refs even if you were fouled.

Bro herb was about to give him a piggy back ride lol

Definitely hyperbole. He was bumped, sure, as DFS started going for the ball and Herb didn’t see the pass yet and was still trying to bump DFS back and DFS bumped him when he started going after the ball.
It certainly could have been called a foul. We might have got away with one. But it wasn’t super egregious and the errant pass makes me feel less empathetic.
If the pass was on the mark and he got bumped and lost the ball and there was no whistle, I’d be like yeah we stole that one. But the way it played out, it just seems like a shite play. We had some contact, y’all had some errors. Just kind of makes me shrug tbh.
Regardless, this Rockets team isn’t good enough. I’m not sure they make it out of the first round.

The last 2 minute report says Herb wasn't fouled, but they did say the 5 second count did happen.

Did the 2 Minute report say who actually called timeout for the Rockets (even if it was late). I still don’t think a ref should be able to call a timeout for a team.
