Has anyone seen this shite? I'm curious peoples thoughts on this. The idea is to build a bot that continually scans news sources and other platforms from around the world and catch platforms like poly market sleeping before they update their betting odds and the market is mispriced.
What will the response be to this strategy?

Didn’t Benjamin just lose everything doing this?

We need negative liberty bigly in many places in this country. Ofc most of them involve the hedonism and narcissism of total freedom infected areas of our culture.
All the DEI bullshite
All the identify shite
An actual state that truly gives us freedom of association
That’s just 3 examples but you know what would do all 3 in one? Repealing the civil rights act

I don't know. First I'm hearing about this shite. I was hoping others would be knowledgeable about it.

I mean, people have always had ways of getting news quicker and gaining an edge over others. Poly market doesn’t care, they make their transaction fees regardless

Better bots for the gambling platforms... then the users... then the platforms... then legislation dealing with cheating.

Good point. It sounds like it's damn near fool-proof if you program your bot properly.

I know I would absolutely fricking love and get addicted to polymarket and therefore can never try it. Much like cocaine

It's peer-to-peer betting so why would the platforms care? They want the action so they can take a cut.

They would first need to legislate for peer-to-peer trading/betting sites.

Cheater bots run off legit customers?

I don't think that's outside the realm or revenue of possibility.

Yeah, I've made some bets on Kalshi and it does get addictive pretty quickly. But this is an interesting approach because you actually aren't doing shite.

Why? Did you lose to a bot?
The people capable of building the bots aren't going to sell them to you. They have invested in their own bot farms running on Mac Minis, which is why certain models of old Mac Minis have shot up in price and are hard to find on eBay.
A lot of the info you see on X about the trading bots is hype for clicks.
Bots have always been in gambling platforms. It's well known that there are bots in online poker rooms that all get on the same table, know each other's cards, and play against the suckers who sit at the table.

The platforms have detection systems in place but it's like playing whack-a-mole. Its their issue to deal with. Not congress

We don't need more laws or regulations to protect idiots from losing their money.

I get that, but you can build your own bot.

And that's stopped congress when?

You seem to be oversimplifying it. AI is great to assist with coding but what you are describing still takes a decent amount of coding knowledge.
Again, they are running their own bot forms on Mac minis using clawdbot and know what they are doing.
Also, just FYI, many of those bots get banned and never actually get paid out. If people on X can find them and their trading history to post about, what do you think Kalashi and Polymarket are doing to detect them?

Congress will only care about these P2P sites when they can squeeze 'campaign contributions' from them and their lobbyist for support
