Incredible come back by a team where they literally gave every run to Vandy by walking. Pretty impressive for a hitting team that has been slumping. Also this is Yeskie’s MO. A lot of strike outs but a lot of walks early in the season. He will have them on point soon. Talent is there.

Whether you feel optimistic or not it’s too early to figure anything out. Even though we loss there were some things that impressed me tonight. Obviously LSU is not going to walk 12 batters every night.

It could wind up as a disappointing season based on how inconsistent they have been, but there’s enough talent and experience for them to put it together and make a run. Tonight was disappointing, but they overcame some sloppy play to be in position to win it.
Now, maybe this clarifies Guidry’s role I think - more of a bulldog/setup guy, and maybe they will turn to Sheerin or Garcia in a similar spot next time.
