Let me start off with this. I have never nor will I ever say that Lache Seastrunk is any type of lock to LSU. The kid is a national recruit and obviously will play the role. I'll stand by and be cautiously optimistic until proven otherwise about him possibly going to LSU.

So, here's something that I thought would be a quality observation that I figured I would bring to the board. I hate making comparisons like this, but how close in comparison is LINK and this highlight.

Break it down.

Besides Bush's film only being one play long, I think that they are pretty similar, but Bush has quicker footwork. Lache looked a little sluggish (only in comparison to the rest of his running) whenever he went to cut a little to the left or right, Bush makes that cut like lightning. They both have an extraordinary ability to reverse field very quickly. They also both have great open field speed. Seastrunk must have had on rocket shoes on that first punt return. Seastrunk also gives up 4 inches and 20 pounds to Bush, thus making him less of a receiving threat.

All that said, I would still love to have the kid.

lache = just as fast, but shorter, squattier, and straightline

bush is top heavy and much, much better at going east to west

I couldnt see the Lache link, but did see the Bush link. Its not unlike most bigtime RB recruits. They all seem to fake, juke, and cut back across the field at will. Seems like when they get to college, they need to be coached to hit it north/south b/c they cant dance around college defenders.

Bush actually could (against PAC 10 teams) but still has not learned his lesson in the NFL.

lache does that thing where he has to stop to try adn juke left/right

bush could completely juke anybody at full speed. his ability to change directions at top speed is amazing

Not really...maybe now...but if rivals is accurate, Lache weighs more than Reggie coming out of high school and is just 2 inches shorter. Not that big of a difference.

But I agree with the poster that says he looks more like Chris Johnson.

They look pretty similar at that level (other than size).

I think people tend to overstate the "amaizingness" of films of athletes like Bush and Barry Sanders because we have already seen the success at the next level.

the move he puts on that dude at :30 is sick.

the play at 1:52 is just awesome. he picks up a nice block and how that safety doesnt make a tackle with that angle is crazy.
