Doesn't seem like it's a done deal, but where there's smoke...

We'll miss you, Cam. An all-time Saints great.

It’s time. He was a great saint. Time for him to get a shot at a superbowl

Who cares. You people worry about shite thats out of your control too much. I root for the Saints, not a player. If cam or demario can go get paid elsewhere, oh well. Thank you for what you did here.

In the context of sports yea it bothers me a bit. But its not like people walk into work and be like "damn, cam leaving ruined my week"

We are allowed to miss a career guy like Cam thats been a stand up dude his whole career. Because they come few and far between

Why are we catching flack for talking about cam on a saints site

Because some people need to feel big by being jerks to people anonymously on the internet.

I’m seeing Bucs and Chiefs as two teams who could be interested

The tweet was from a troll account named "Dixon Cyder" (say it out loud).

I guess "Mike Hunt" is about to tweet out that the Saints are set to trade for Maxx Crosby.

I’d reckon he has three offers he’s mulling - us, TB, KC.

Tampa (3-4 def) is offering the most money but he has to play behind Hassan Reddick and Yaya Diaby. They also have two homegrown reserves who see ample run. Scheme is similar to ours, which he did well in last year. Money is good but role is uncertain.

We are offering the next most money. You know what you get here

KC (4-3 def) is offering the least money. Karalaftis is entrenched at one end but the other end has a young guy going into his second year. The money isn’t great but maybe the best chance to win and the best opportunity for snaps. However the chiefs aren’t just looking at Cam to fill a hole; there the chiefs and they could be also chasing a bigger fish

How it ends: Cam gets his fragile ego stroked knowing a few teams came calling for his services, something he’s never experienced. But ultimately the deals aren’t sweet enough to leave here. He gets a raise and comes back here to end his career

He has stated two things he wants. He wants to stay here and he wants a raise from last year which was around 6 mil base?

Question is, at this point do you try to sign Cam now, or do you wait to see how the draft plays out (esp with Saints & KC both picking in top 10) and see if you get a better option.

At this stage in his career, I can't imagine any team is viewing him as a can't miss role player that they'd be overly upset if they missed out on him

I think if you go that long without signing him he isn’t coming back. I think if you bring him back you’re still in play to add someone else at the position

Chiefs won't even sniff the playoffs if Mahomes can't play. He might play half the season if he's lucky.

If he’s gone i hope it’s to a contender. DeMario got paid but the jets are arse.
