Vitello made over a million more than Jay Johnson did last season. Vitello was making around 3 and Jay like 1.6. Jay didn't get his raise until the offseason, so the operating budget is only a difference of like $400k. Now with Jay making 3.1 million and Elander making 1 million, I'd imagine our operating budget is close to equal. And you don't really know where the differences are with these numbers. All that chart tells me is we spend plenty on baseball, so this notion that we aren't prioritizing baseball is a farce

I wonder what part of the facility improvements are included in that budget also?

Entirely too much for a program that loses money.
Use that 10 Mill to send McMahon packing

We lost $921,00 according

Our womens basketball program was the biggest loser. They had a net deficit of almost 8 million. Baseball lost less money than any sport other than football and mens basketball

Hmm.
I would have thought, given the generally accepted definition of the terms "several" and "million", that the losses would have been higher.

Still too much for a team that won its 2nd natty in 3 years and reportedly had the highest watched CWS ever.
Baseball is a money pit
No sense to invest in a product that loses money

Why have high school sports? They all lose money
Sports add value that aren’t always going to be quantifiable by a profit and loss statement. College athletics weren’t created to be run like a business.

If we sucked it would lose more money. Baseball gets a lot of their money through ticket sales unlike MBB which gets TV revenue just from existing in the SEC. In other words, you have to be good in Baseball to come close to breaking even, otherwise it costs you a lot. In MBB it doesn't really matter how good you are in terms of breaking even but obviously there's more revenue to be generated if we could get butts in seats. WBB should get as little funding as possible bc there's no ROI

What an imbecile you are. Baseball is growing albeit slowly and if the MLB decides to continue to cut the minor league systems then college baseball is going to grow even faster. NIL is going to actually help college baseball grow.
