Haters of the "can kick" are going to hate this video

I'll add the recap:

-They really like Travis Etienne. Described him as a "do it all" back.

- Said we have built a 2024 Eagles offensive line with a lot of talent/high draft picks. (Didn't say anything bad about Ruiz, but morse so said the addition of Edwards next to our young tackles/McCoy is really good).

- Talked really good on "kicking the can" with contracts as it is the opposite of paying interest on a credit card. The salary cap continues to increase and it's almost like we are paying negative interest when we kick the can.

- Saints are favorites to win the super bowl next year. (Alright, they didn't say this part)

Don't care. Not watching a video of the 2 gayest "men" in football.

Don't know how many times I've tried to explain this in the past but people still freak out when it happens. It is never the can kicking that gets you. It's when you miss on several big contracts at once, or have unexpected things happen like needing to cut a player or them retiring unexpectedly.

They freak out because the negative numbers get so big, and we let good players walk because we don't value them the same way other teams may. But, like you said, when you swing big several times and keep missing, it magnifies the situation. Imagine a scenario where we signed 2016 Carr to that same contract back in 2023, you think people are bitching about the cap then.

Of course that is not who we got, we got the "every other year Carr" that stymied the post-Brees roster rebuild that everyone wanted.
