Ships are reportedly crossing the strait of Hormuz. They are reportedly turning off their transponders before passing through, and switch them back on afterward.

Libs/ progressive filth will cry about this due to the current negative impact to the cost of a barrel of oil and demand a bill be passed immediately by our worthless Congress.

You should get your vessel seized if you turn it off.

I don’t know about all of that, but if they are getting through, and it appears they are, then you know the oil price spike is bullshite.

Turning off AIS doesn't make you invisible to radar, or eyeballs considering the shipping lanes are pretty well established.

I'm guessing this helps make them less of a sitting duck, but is far from a total fix

I saw a still pic of this, maybe doctored, where the identifier being transmitted by the first tanker through was "IDGAF."

I don't get why the shipping companies think they're safe from drones in port, but it's somehow far riskier to transit the strait, with the same drones being a threat. There don't seem to be any anti ship missiles stationed at Bandar Abbas anymore, there is no Iranian navy, and they don't seem to have any planes left either.
