A coworker recommended this cruise line. I’ve never heard of it, but they raved about it.

Also, I noticed Costco had a member offer on Holland for a 12 day Alaskan cruise.

Anyone have any experience with either of these? I believe Holland had the most recs from the earlier thread on this.

I have been looking at doing some and I think cruise line matters here but the ship also plays a bigger part than what they do in the Caribbean.

We booked our last cruise through Costco. Excellent customer service. We got $500 back btn 2% reward and gift cards.

Silversea is on a different level than Holland. Silversea is considered a luxury cruise line like a Viking while Holland is just your regular run of the mill cruise line. Silversea is part of the Royal Caribbean brand.

They are small ships and older crowds. You get a more personalized touch with the crew. I believe they still include everything, so you don't feel like you are nickel and dimed on wifi and drinks and such.

The excursions are more catered to the clientele.

Holland will get the best port options because they were essentially first to that market several years ago.

We did the seven day Inside Passage cruise with HAL this past year and had an incredible time.

HAL is catered for the old folks demographic. If you're looking for a "party" ship you may want to look into Princess or Carnival.

I believe Carnival owns all three cruise lines so they will have the better port options such as Glacier Bay National park which was the best part of our cruise.
