LSU vs Oklahoma women’s basketball today at 1:30 on ESPN . Winner plays Kentucky / South Carolina .

Don’t look for Kim Mulkey to be all-fired up for some big revenge matchup vs South Carolina. That’s not on her radar. She’d rather her troops be home resting for the Dance.
Kim would never tank but it wouldn’t shock me if we lost to Oklahoma. And that’s okay. This tourney is meaningless for LSU’s seeding. Let Oklahoma get beat up vs South Carolina while we’re home preparing for getting to the Final Four.

I think if LSU could win the tournament they maybe could overtake Texas for a one seed .

It would be great to see and kind of funny for LSU/Mulkey to finally beat South Carolina now that the results don't really matter.
Maybe it will help them play loose and not let pressure get to them.

You don't understand the rivalry between Kim Mulkey and Dawn Staley. I think Kim is single-minded on meeting SC again, and beating them. It's almost as important as making an NCAA Final Four run.

This is such a weak take. These are college athletes, and they need to be 100% all-in on each and every game. We don't need rest more than we need an SEC tourney championship to boost us into the big dance. frick this "it's OK to lose and get rest" mentality.

Oooh. My post was called a weak take by a rant dumbass. However will I survive?
You obviously just started paying attention to LSU women’s basketball. Take it up with Mulkey. She has articulated she doesn’t give a shite about the SECT and she wishes they’d do away with it.
Could we win the tourney? Sure. We’ve got a good enough team. But it’s just ignorance to think Mulkey is going to take a “Super Bowl” approach to any rematch with SC when the game is meaningless. It’s the same approach she’s taken to every SECT in the five years she’s been at LSU.
Take heart. You’re not the only Johnny-Come-Lately in this thread anticipating a take-no-prisoners attitude from CKM when it won’t happen. She’d rather her team be home resting for when the games ARE one-and done. End of conversation.
So take up your “weak take” bullshite with the head coach.
