They have 3 other guys who are liabilities on the field. Dardar, Simpson, reaves. Someone has to play.

Maybe they don't want the 300 lb first baseman playing in the field four straight days. So, they figured that they'd sit Yorke in a game that not one person that matters cares if we win or lose.
