Do you pick best available at position of need? Do you have a draft board with your top 10 at each poisition and draft from that? Ive autopicked the last few years and my record reflects that.

I mean half or more fun of the league is the draft. Why even play if you have to auto draft?

A good draft board keeps you organized through the middle and end of the draft so you don't miss people that you will forget as the draft goes assuming you do any kind of prep.

I like drafting players with multiple position eligibility.

I usually base it off of last year's performance and try to grab an ace and a power hitter in rounds 1-2. I fill out the rest of the roster based on BPA at all positions by round. After I've filled mandatory spots, I choose guys who I think may be under the radar and have a chance to breakthrough or I grab guys who can play multiple spots.

We do an auction and I don't know ball as well as the top 3-4 guys so it's always a shitshow but it's fun and I've at least made the playoffs a few times in a competitive league.

I basically bid on everyone (BPA) with a few targets I'll go heavier on. I usually grab an ace because in our league honestly the tier 2-3 guys go for almost what the tier 1 guys do because people start panicking when they realize they want a good pitcher.

I never plan to punt saves but it seems to always happen organically as I overspend elsewhere
