If you can get tickets to a Giants Spring Training game in Old Town Scottsdale and before or after the game (or both) take a stroll thru Old Town. A cool collection of bars/restaurants, shops, art galleries, etc. and some great people-watching. I recommend the Coach House (cool dive bar) and the Rusty Spur (cool country bar). Both are popular with tourists and locals alike.

Went last weekend to Cubs, Giants, and Rockies stadiums.
Not sure where you’re staying but we stayed in Scottsdale. We walked to the stadium and I echo the comments above that there is a lot to do there. We bar hopped on the way back from the game.
The Cubs stadium is nice, and the Rockies/D-Backs stadium is big. The day I went there the Rockies were playing the White Sox and attendance was low. The Cubs stadium will be packed.

Been to Sloane to see the Cubs, got there early, walked around the complex and saw players on all the different fields doing their thing. Did the outfield berm for the game, bring a blanket and stake out a spot.
It ain't cheap, but if you can get past that - it's a cool experience.

Went out a few years ago and chased the Cubs around for a week, got to see most of the parks, liked Sloan (they had Old Style) and Salt River (or whatever D-Backs/Rockies facility) were the nicest. The Cubs (and Dodgers) premium is a real thing. It was wild seeing tickets for $10 for the other games and having to pay $50 to the Cubs.

Or guys wearing Cubs uniforms.
Spring training trips sound great in theory, and I’ve kinda always wanted to do a Florida trip and an Arizona trip.
But my motivation is limited when realizing games are full of limited amounts of regulars and a bunch of Johnny Wholestaff games.

I went to two Cub spring training games and both were packed. my friend who lives there and is a fellow Cub fan says pretty much every game is. They charge that because they can, the brand sells. Most other teams can't.

Old Town Scottsdale. Loved it! I use to go to a place called Mingles. Great Spot.
