Can’t justify the trip this year to Forest Hill. I know nothing will come close to Doug Young’s price wise, but is there anything within 30-45 minutes that have a good selection and decent prices. Just comparing boxwoods, for example:
2 gallon at HD is $35
7 gallon at DY is $18.

Wish they were closer.

Sort of off topic but figured I would ask it here instead of starting a whole thread. Nursery festival is in a few weeks and I know basically every nursery opens up and sells to public for most part. Are most of them open to the public other weekends in the spring too or just a select few?

From my research, those along HWY 25, north of Folsom, don’t sell to the public.

Supposedly the biggest and best priced place that sells to the public is Westfarms in Franklinton.

I personally like Straughn's in Loranger

Westfarms is the answer. Bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards.
