If tweet fails to load, click here. 1) This DOES NOT give immunity to Bayer for ongoing health related lawsuits, ONLY immunity pertaining to Defense Production Act related matters. 99% of influencers reporting on this EO are getting it wrong claiming Bayer gets immunity from everything.
2) Most of this E.O. explicitly relates to the need for domestic PHOSPHORUS production for infrastructure needs (batteries, chips, etc.). Warranted.
3) As per RFK's recent statements on Theo Von's podcast, if we outright banned or ran out of glyphosate right now, 80% of farmers would go out of business. (Can't let someone like Newsom or China screw over millions of farmers). It's a necessary evil at the moment, but they ARE working on solutions to off ramp from glyphosate.
I don't like this EO, but I understand the reasonings for it
