I do not, for the life of me, understand why people keep driving 70mph when they cant see but 10ft in front of them.
If I cant see whats in front of me, I get off the road as soon as I can safely do so.

One of the ugliest towns in the United States. Interstate 25 bisects a steel mill so you are driving through a steel mill on the way through town from north to south,,,its insane. I have been in Pueblo many times when I-25 was shut down due to visibility from smoke, dirt, snow...rain, all manner of shite being tossed at you. Very sad to hear that so many people met their demise in such a shitty place...

It just makes it harder for everyone else to see what's going on... like Boss said ....if you can't see then get off the road. And yes these dust storms are blinding. Seem one brief one turn a bright snowy hillside dirty brown.

Of course, it's just fender benders until they come barreling in.
If the dash cam footage shows extended low visibility with no effort to slow down, prosecute them all.

Another near Oakley, KS. Who ever was in that white SUV may not have made it.

Dust storms like that seemingly come from nowhere, one moment you’re rolling along on a clear day at 90mph trying to save gas and escape from Pueblo and then you top a hill and can’t see the end of your hood. Terrifying feeling.

Only six? We get that many in fender benders on I-40 after a single jackknife. It must not connect to a major import site.
