Have had this happened several times around 1 or 2 in the morning. Enough to startle the shite out of you. Can never be subtle fair either. It's usually some high-powered, Asian kidtoon stuff at full blast, which sounds extra eerie.

So by “go off” do you mean “come on”?

My old Bose used to do stupid shite like that. No issues since I switched to Sonos.

Assuming your TV has HDMI cec enabled. Probably reboots for an update and kicks on the sound bar

No but had my TV come on late at night for no reason. I was up at the time In another room. Nobody else was around to do it.

Kids toys with batteries dying would do that and screw with me. Hearing a doll starting to talk or something at 3 in the morning…

Some Polk soundbars lose remote programming and previous volume when there’s a power outage. They come back on at max volume.

It’s probably the same tech found in those Asian hotel rooms that was recording people.

Might as well put on a show.

LOL..that’s what I always tell my wife. Everytime we stay at a hotel or Airbnb she always jokes about their probably being hidden cameras recording us. I tell her we better put in a good show then cause if it ever gets leaked to the internet, she doesn’t want people thinking she’s a dead fish.
