I don’t understand what he was arrested for. Being a pedo is a given but they arrested him based on subliminal emails?

Great. Now, if they could only get rid of the hordes of muzzies who are molesting their actual children every day.

Grok with the details:

Former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland has not been arrested. Recent reports (from early to mid-February 2026) indicate that he was charged with “aggravated corruption” (also referred to as “gross corruption”) by Norway’s economic crimes unit, Økokrim. This stems from an investigation into his alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein, specifically whether he received improper benefits such as gifts, travel, loans, or other favors in connection with his positions (including as chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee and Secretary General of the Council of Europe).
Key details from reliable sources:

The Council of Europe waived his diplomatic immunity on February 11, 2026, at Norway’s request.

On February 12, 2026, police searched his properties in Oslo and other locations.

He was formally charged around February 12–13, 2026.

His lawyer has stated that Jagland denies the charges and is cooperating with authorities, including for questioning.

No credible news outlets (e.g., BBC, CNN, Reuters, NYT, Al Jazeera, Wikipedia updates) report an actual arrest or custody at this time.

Some social media posts on X claim he was “arrested” or “taken into custody,” but these appear to be unsubstantiated or exaggerated, often from unverified accounts mixing in speculation about Epstein connections. Mainstream reporting consistently uses terms like “charged,” “suspected,” “accused,” or “under investigation,” with mentions that the legal process could allow for potential future arrest if needed, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Jagland has denied any wrongdoing and welcomed clarification through the investigation. The case is ongoing, tied to documents from Epstein-related files.

So any insinuation that Norway is somehow being bold and doing what “the rest of the world (read, “the U.S.” I presume) won’t” is not at all accurate?

This LINK kinda discusses it but nothing solid.

Looks like Norway was knee deep in the corruption as tons are being investigated

The emails are a huge opportunity for intelligence agents, law enforcement officials, and attorneys all over the world to make a name for themselves

Probably means he has knowledge and is singing like a canary. Will be interesting to see which dominos fall next.
