If tweet fails to load, click here. How nice it must be to have enough talent to just release the #9 pick from 4 years ago. Granted he hasn’t set the world on fire, but crazy to just release instead of trading him.

Looks like they tried to trade him but there were no interests. They did him a solid by releasing him and allowing him to find a better situation.

Seems I remember debating between Dyson Daniels or Sochan for the Pels' pick at #8...I may have been a slight lean to Sochan...but not sure. Looks like DD was the obvious winner in that one.

Can we release the #1 pick we had from a few years back?
Zion something?

Sochan has some skills and was even willing to run the point for the Spurs back before they had too many point guards. BUT he can't shoot the 3 ball which every non-center in the NBA MUST be able to do these days. So expect Dumars to sign him to a 5 year deal in other words.

Sochan is a pretty good player. Still has to develop a more consistent 3 but wow SA must be deep to not be able to provide him any sort of a role.

They're very deep. They start champagne, and then they have Barnes, Keldon Johnson, and they are trying to work in the rookie Carter Bryant as well at the 4.
And they have Kornet and Wemby who sometimes play a big lineup. So not a lot of minutes for him and they are very high on Carter Bryant.
