Why Texas twice?

This might have been mentioned in here and they will probably say it on the broadcast but I won't be able to watch. So, sorry for the ignorance but, why do we have to play Texas a second time while not having any other repeat SEC opponents? Thanks for the info!

Majority of LSU fans in Louisiana/Texas than anywhere else. Eyes on the tube.

If the first one would have been at Texas we wouldn’t have had to play twice.

Just the schedule. Cause if that were the case it would be LSU/Carolina playing 2x every year in the regular season

The Texas coach was bitching about it too, but he was whining about everything in the interview clip.

I have a daughter playing wbb right now so catch a bullet with your teeth. This is a regional game between two top ranked teams. This is bigger than LSU playing against USCe, whom they have not beaten in a while.

The SEC schedule has every team playing each other and one team you play twice. Texas had to play Carolina twice last season and LSU twice this season. I will be interested in seeing who plays whom twice in 26-27.
