If over 70% of country wants this, whats holding up the legislature? Don’t republicans hold both houses of congress.

Because everyone (except for white people) isn’t able to get one because it is racist. Think of it like a food desert, but for ID cards.

Have lived in Alabama a long time. It has a very robust ID requirement. Have never known anyone that has had any difficulty. Nor have I ever heard of such a thing, and if it had happened our clown media outlets would be all over it.

Elections are governed by the states and there is no constitutional requirement for citizens to have an ID, whereas there is a constitutional amendment saying all citizens can vote.
Those are the things holding up legislation.
