Illegal behind bars in Shelby County jail ... assaulted ICE agent, lives to tell about it.

Emilio Ba-Ruiz was arrested Tuesday afternoon after fleeing from law enforcement officers earlier in the day.
Ba-Ruiz, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Lindsay Williams, assaulted the officer while attempting to evade arrest.
ICE officials said Ba-Ruiz’s criminal history includes multiple charges for DUI and illegally re-entering the U.S., which is a felony.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall addressed the assault on social media.
“Alabama stands with the ICE agent injured in Alabaster. Law enforcement puts their lives on the line every day to keep us safe,” Marshall wrote.
