Today show with video

NASA has 3 of these, I remember seeing two of them at Kirtland AFB in 1971. They weren't new then. There's at least one more at the boneyard at Davis-Monthan in Tuscon. A few years back, they pulled one out and reactivated it as two weren't enough to perform all the missions they were tasked with.

FYI, the basic Canberra design goes back to the late 1940s. USAF was originally going to buy them from the UK, but they didn't have the production capacity. Martin got the license to produce them over here. The Brits kept them in service until at least 2002.

Didn't see the earlier thread as it was buried.

Still an amazing thing to see as the landing was a thing of beauty.

Trying to check the boneyard inventory, there's at least one more there.

Yup, USAF then NASA, kept two operational, since 2013 3 of them.

I've always liked the Canberra.
