Does anyone else watch conspiracy docs as a form of pure entertainment?

I try not to take these things too seriously because there is usually some narrative concocted by the people that produce it. I do think some of them are well done for the sake of entertainment.

One of my favorites is hypernormalisation. It's super long but here is a short snippet of it. Some of it is actually pretty interesting. It's just balanced enough to where dems think it's conservative and republicans think it's slanted left.

He does do a good job of finding rare footage. The story of Jess Marcum was very interesting to me.

The full documentary is available on youtube. It does get into a lot of interesting things about the never ending chaos in the middle east and suicide bombings. Keep in mind this was from 2016

There are some graphic scenes and the video comes with a warning saying as much

Ditto. I’m entertained by all of them.

Only one or two have me leaning, with JFK being the one I do believe

Kind of. I get a kick out of reading the Bible and realizing people actually believe that nonsense. Not a conspiracy obviously but I'm sure you get my drift

On that note this one is actually really good. Also extremely long. I don't recall but I think I may have stumbled into it because someone posted it here.

Yeah the spirit of the thread wasn't meant to be about random shots like that

I know, but there's always that one dipshit that thinks he's being clever. Sort of like the "NOTHINGBURGER" folks in the weather thread.

You don't say.

Every single conspiracy theorist I have ever talked with uses this exact line.

The list of things that were called conspiracy theories when I was growing up that are now confirmed fact is so long that I don’t even worry when people throw shade at this point.

Hell the phrase itself was shown to be a tactic used by the CIA to discredit people questioning the Warren Commision (Dispatch 1035-960).

It’s like when you call everyone a racist no one is a racist and the phrase no longer holds any value.

Is everything a conspiracy? No.

Are rich and powerful people constantly planning (aka conspiring) to do bad things they lie about? Absolutely.

It is one thing to question the narrative. The line can get crossed and many times does.

That's about where I sit with things. Which makes me seriously question people who trust guys like Musk because they think they're on the same team. I'm not saying he is a super villain but he shouldn't be blindly trusted either.

Yeah, it was comedic to watch the MSN try and spin J6 as an insurrection conspiracy.

I was tickled.

Of all the people you could have picked, you picked Musk. I wonder why? Bill Gates has many more 007 villain traits than Musk.

Because it's an easy example of someone that is given the benefit of a doubt because he is "on our side"

That all depends on what is "our side"
