Pepperdine thought they were going to show up with their fancy racquets from Malibu with their sunglasses on, we just went into the Tucson tournament and we dragged our nuts allover these soft west coast fricks.

I’ll give fat Scott this: he made a lot of fantastic non revenue hires. Can’t believe how strong women’s tennis now is too.

With that said, I wish we could fire him twice for the hires that mattered most.

Looks like it may come down to a 3rd set on #1 if the leads hold on all other courts

LSU men’s tennis is a top 10 team this year. Crazy turnaround

What’s the story? Huge recruiting class? I know they’ve been pretty bad the last two years.

A bunch of internationals from France, Brazil, Germany, Serbia. Recent recruits from Belarus and Poland have won tournaments on the international circuits, and they also have a Spaniard who transferred from Alabama.

They also got the number 6-rated recruit coming next year

Probably need to create a pinned thread for LSU tennis discussion (men and women) for the season as both teams should have deep runs this year in the NCAAs.

LSUs men run started with a great opening season win over Clemson, 4-3, who is also one of the most improved teams in the country and punched their ticket on the road to the Indoors as well this weekend.

In LSUs “upset” win over Clemson was without Olaf Pieczkowski and
Alessio Vazquez - their no 2 and 3 rated players - in the lineup and I don’t think Vazquez played this entire weekend either. Hopefully, he’ll be back soon.

Love it. A lot are unaware of how rich LSU men’s tennis tradition is. Hopefully we are back.

It's mainly the top 2. They are two of the best newcomers in the nation and both are experienced pro tour players from Europe who had ATP ranks in the top 500.

It makes the whole lineuo better because Kohlmann and Loncarevic can now play #3 and #4 where they are really strong. Last year they had to play #1 and #2 and that was just a bit above their level and took a lot of losses in the SEC
