Anyone have any experience with off shore fishing in Orange Beach? How far off shore do they typically go?
Any good charters y’all would recommend?

How many people? Time of year? What do you hope to catch?

6 people in June most likely.
Not a huge preference on what we catch. I know regs on red snapper have changed but would love red snapper among other fish.

I will tell you one NOT to use, great escape charters. He sucks.

June is snapper season, 6 people will let you charter a 6 pack boat. I would recommend Wild Orange out of Zekes (Capt. Bryan Reeves), Miss Carli out of Romar Harbor (Capt. Alex Brewer), or Red Eye/Swords and Sickles out of Fort Morgan Marina (Capt. Gary Bryant).
There are a LOT of charter boats out of Orange Beach. Most will catch some fish, but some are better than others.
if you end up with more than 6 Annie Girl (Capt. Mike Rowell), Seaspray (Capt. Bill Staff), Summer Breeze II (Capt. Bobby Walker).
ETA: those three six packs boats are all pretty active on facebook if you want to get a feel for what they catch.

Awesome …I’ll look at these. I was looking at charters out of Zeke’s so that helps narrow it down.

There are some good captains out of Zeke’s. They also have several that are more focused on taking tourists deep sea fishing than they are on loading the box. The good boats stay pretty booked, the others pick up lots of trips from the marina from people who call last minute looking to go deepsea fishing.

I always use Wild Orange - captain reeves out of zekes. Been maybe 8 times with him.

MSC fishing out of Ft Morgan Marina. Vlad is a certified fish killer.

^^^ This right here is your answer. Drive down to Ft. Morgan and fish with Vlad. He fishes because it's an addiction not to make money, all your doing is helping on the fuel bill. I've fished at least a hundred charters in my life and Vlad was the most personable Captain I've had the pleasure to fish with.

Best charter in OBA is Intimidator Charters. Captain Johnny Greene. They do day and multi day trips.

Dude definitely loves to fish. He’s got an interesting success story too.
