(dollar general)
the sams thread helped me find a few deals so i thought i'd ask everyone what they buy cheaper at the dollar store. i like to buy canned artichokes and mccormick seasonings. they are usually half the price of albertsons.

Pretty much any non-edibles...like toilet paper, kitty litter, air fresheners, detergents, etc.

I buy my kids snack foods at Dollar Store- cookies, jello, pudding, chips, fruit cups, granola bars, etc. Cereal is also cheap. And sometimes I can find decent Birthday/Holiday cards there for 50 cents a piece.

I do shop at dollar stores but never buy food items there. Have you ever tried that stuff yourself? I've always been afraid it would be stale, or from a toy factory in China.

I am one to ALWAYS check the expiration date on everything. I have never run into a problem where something was stale. And my kids are old enough to notice if it was stale.
And I do stick to brand name foods...not dollar general brands.

hot wing sauce for a buck kicks arse!

Yes it does! I'm pretty sure it's made by pepper's unlimited in St Martinville. I grill my wings then put them in a pot and cover with sauce. Cover the pot and shake'em around to coat'em and let the pot sit covered for about 20 minutes. Then enjoy.
