And he is right. This is coming sooner than people realize too. I saw the other day that they're now developing AI tools to decipher Sumerian cuneiform texts (something like 95% of these things are still unread) with great success.
The day is coming soon when AI replaces law, medicine, and even the pastor in your churches.

They've been wanting to destroy the Christian religion for a long, long time.
Funny thing about "AI." Right now the biggest impact it's had on me is that it's in the process of ruining YouTube. But, I have no doubt that the day will come when I will long for the time when AI was simply screwing up YouTube. There are going to be some applications of AI that are going to be scary as Hell. Mark my words. It's coming.
What God creates will always be infinitely better than when man attempts to take over that role. The "creation" was never meant to be greater than the Creator.

I don't see it that way at all actually. As the guy says, it is not possible for a single person to memorize every Jewish text ever written, but AI can do this with ease.
Instead of looking at it as a threat to religion, people should look at it as a potential tool to religion.

we are in the middle of an AI bubble. I predict we’ll be laughing at speeches like this ten years from now. AI will be an incremental improvement in technology, but it’s not going to take over the world.

I can see the sales pitch now to those seeking an alternative to the world's current religions.
Come worship the manmade AI god that does not judge or constrain you with absolute morality. A god that is unbiased, always available, a god who warmly accepts all who seek a deeper meaning to their existence and purpose.
