Runs as GOP candidate. Shreds all vestiges of Eisenhower Republicans
Promises no more foreign wars
Snatch & Grab on Maduro
Seizes 6th oil tanker to control oil exiting Venezuela.
Promises American oil corps will restore Venezuelan oil production
Threatens to take Greenland
Promises to protect the Iranian protestors from the Mullahs
Actively engaged in regime change in Iran

Candidly, I think Trump has two things going on:
- First, he's legacy hunting. Peace in Ukraine, in Gaza. Settling scores in Venezuela, perhaps Iran. He, understandably, thinks these things are momentous enough that even a history apparatus that loathes him won't be able to deny him glory. They will, but he doesn't know that.
- Second, I think he thinks he can effectively quash longtime (decades old?) disputes in interventionist fashion but without the neocon quagmire antics. I think he's probably right to some extent, at least with the intent. But I think it's hubris to assume it won't shift and change and the next guy won't grow it into something else, so forth.

And yet we have no war in Iran, no war in Venezuela, no war against Russia (with the entire neo-con and Democrat Party clamoring for increased intervention), and no war in Greenland.
There are no American soldiers acting as an occupying force anywhere in the world right now.
The current targets of Trump's foreign policy attention demonstrate clear and undeniable US interests at stake and Trump has expressed no worship at the neocon alter for spreading democracy around the world. His foreign policy thus far has been interest based, practical, and restrained. A total false equivalence to neoconservatism.

Donald Trump is building a foundation for a post NATO American hegemony.

We are currently not at war and have not started a new one.
Not a war. Had warrant for arrest. Treated like any other criminal.
Threatens to buy it. That would be taking legal ownership. I see no issue if agreement between all parties are met.
Do we not wish to protect innocent civilians who are being killed by a dying government?
Tenuous at best. Seems the people there are much more engaged.

I think many of us are scarred from Afghanistan and Iraq.
You can still do what’s needed in other countries without having a 20 year boots on the ground occupation.
That’s just what Bush and Obama wanted.
