Thoughts on Belay Brummel as QB3?

Graduated from Cal in only 2.5 years.
6'2, 180lbs
Hasn't played at Cal, but here are his high school highlights. I like his deep ball.

He seems like a great guy with a remarkable backstory.

How many other QBs in the portal spent their high school years moonlighting as an Ethiopian cattle rancher in suburban Chicago?
He has a bright future ahead of him, but not as a QB at LSU or any other FBS school. He enrolled at Cal as a preferred walk-on, and after three years in the same system. He remained a walk-on buried behind at least four younger QBs.
How did you even find this guy? His portal announcement was probably a gag. He will always be able to claim he entered the portal.

Man, some of those highlights look like they come from a coach's all-22 helicopter view. Pretty cool angle. I've never seen that on Hudl before.

Yep- I’d just about take him just to have the character and leadership in the locker room.
