I'm a student who is VERY interested in attending the opener at the new Box on Friday. Is this game going to work just like every other game for students (first come, first serve)? If so, what time would you suggest getting out there to guarantee that we'll get in?

Thanks! (And for the record, I tried searching before posting this. Nevertheless, I apologize if it's Germans.)

I would imagine it is pick up a ticket type of deal then use said ticket later to get in.

This is becoming as repetitive as the "I just passed by the new stadium" thread.

I have an ID...haven't been a student since '01 and have one again, so I am lost on the procedures. Basically, it IS first come, first serve? What's the max number of students they let in?

I wouldn't be surprised if it is much lower than usual for this first game. But I dunno the normal max.

I'm tailgating around 3.... and then i dont know when i'll get in line. its sucks they dont have a set student section since the bandwaggon is in full force. those of us that went to almost all the home games last year are probably going to end up getting turned away so the bandwaggon student fans who cant name 2 players get to go.

i wish they did priority points for baseball like they did football and reward the stdents that went to all the games last year....but that will never happen.

Well said man. I went to almost every game last year. Funny how quick the bandwagon filled once we went on the streak. Hopefully most students will be heading to NOLA for mardi gras friday.

There is going to be a ton of students going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, so it may be less students than expected.

most of the bandwagoners will be in NOLA or elsewhere for Mardi Gras break. I think you can start getting tickets around 4:00 so I'll probably get in line around then and be tailgating once I get out of class (if I go) at 12:30. Anyone know where most students will be tailgating?

So the guy that "went to almost all the home games last year" can't arrive a few hours early to ensure himself a seat?
