Great job in extracting Maduro and wife!

The Venezuela government is still in charge. Has anyone heard a timeline for the Americans taking charge?

Are we going to install a Venezuelan to be the nominal head of state during the transition?

That’s exactly who will take over. Everyone knows she won and Maduro refused to step down.

That was the weird thing. President Trump emphasized that the opposition leader and Nobel Prize winner was NOT being considered for being part of the new government.

I believe this would be an unforced error to not give them what they voted for. Although, I don't have all the information that they do.

Because she won it instead of him?

TRUMP said we would be running things. Why did you lie about me making shite up?

“We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition” to new leadership, Trump said during a press conference in Florida.

Isn’t that just saying the quiet part out loud?

What are the Kalshi odds for whether Ukraine or Venezuela holds the first legitimate election.

Here's what he said. Since she dedicated her Nobel Prize to him, I was surprised how dismissive Trump was of Machado.

??? Trump’s Comments on Machado’s Role
He suggested she was not a viable leader for any post-Maduro government, saying something like:
“I think it would be very tough for her to be the leader. She doesn’t have the support within or the respect within the country.” ?
Gulf News
He also emphasized that the U.S. was working instead with Venezuela’s vice president (Delcy Rodríguez) and not positioning Machado as the next head of state. ?

Trump also said that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez had been sworn in as president shortly before he spoke to reporters and added she had spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

“She is essentially willing to do what we think is necessary to make Venezuela great again. Very simple,” Trump said.

Maybe he thinks the election was illegitimate? Weird thing to say considering she won said election.

The extraction was so well planned, I figured we would have had a "governing team" already in place.

ummmmmmmmmmm

Try to keep up. She didnt win any election. She was barred from running. She won the Nobel Prize, but not the election. Her successor, Edmundo González, won the election. But Maduro was declared the winner, without any votes being tallied or reported
