Does anyone have a roster for the 2009 Bayou Bowl in June?

Obviously winning National Championships has helped LSU recruiting, but has the Bayou Bowl had a lot to do with LSU's presence in Texas as well?

Would LSU recruit Texas just as well if Lousiana high schoolers played against Arkansas or Mississippi instead?

Any kind of positive exposure never can hurt.

No major recruits from Texas ever play in the bayou bowl. Same can be said for the majority of La players. But this game is bigger to them.

So are you saying that players like Chad Jones aren't big recruits? He played in this game!

I guess the same goes for Jarvis Jones who played in the game for Texas even though he's no longer on the LSU team.
Drew Tate, who beat LSU in the 2005 Capital One Bowl with Iowa, also played in the game for Texas.

You won't see the best players in Texas at this game it has to do with UIL rules and the amount of allstar games you can play. Tate is from Baytown so that's why he probably played.

Louisiana is better off playing the bayou bowl then sending schools like John Curtis last year who played Trinity out of Euless. Trinity won a lopsided game. John Curtis was way to small to play a 5a power like Trinity

Most ignorant post of the year..

Congrats!
