McCrimon is a 6’6 312 OT who earned first team all AAC honors this season.

Graded out 57.7 on PFF, something not passing the smell test here
Specifically graded out 54.0 run blocking, that is no bueno

I would trust independent eyes grading every snap over some voted on post season award that for Olinemen probably just stick with pre-season picks usually.
A 54.0 run block grade is like all our bad olinemen we wanted out of here who also didnt run block well. Seems like a pretty bad fit. For reference DJ Chester graded out 56.4 run blocking this season.
Other low run block grades here:
Josh Thompson 55.5
Coen Echols 51.5
Adams - 48.1
Davis - 45.2
I guess 1 argument is he can still run block better than what we had at OT this year even if its still not even average

Our whole line outside of moore graded out very poorly this season. That seemed to check out in a major way

He's got the size, he's played some football. We need some bodies.
Also, Kiffin should know which OL from Ole Miss that would fit and is willing to transfer. Devin Harper might be an option if he enters the portal.
We need at least 3 guys in the portal...If we can keep Solomon Thomas and Braelin Moore--I think one of the guys in the portal will return.
Wouldn't it be great if one from this year with the improved coaching turns out to be something!

LSU isn't getting anyone off Ole Miss OL. They just resigned their starters to a new deal to prevent LSU from poaching them. Maybe backups.

Some metrics on PFF are useful. But it looks like LSU"s OL they sure hit the nail on the head.

Right…take their 6th and 7th guy.
They should be cheap and you can destroy the depth at OM. And I think they could contribute here.
