Dumb, dumb, dumb. So he had three weeks to prepare several guys who weren’t starters for a reason.
Forget the SEC homer mentality of “all of our athletes are better”. Our 2s and 3s currently are not and Houston is a Big 12 school with good football players. Turns out LSU wasn’t very good this year and fell into the lower echelon of SEC teams. That’s the problem and we can actually thank Baker for the 7 wins.

No some of the options outs happened within that 3 weeks. So he actually had less time to get this defense ready.
