Kinda want off the ride friends. Keeping faith and hoping for a return to respectability at some point.

This many LSU players choosing not to play for LSU in the bowl game that they earned says it all, our program is big time bullshite at the moment and we deserve to be laughed at. Imagine it, being a starter for LSU and saying “you know what? frick playing that shite is beneath what I got going on.”

We’ve been throwing money around like fools to ppl who don’t care at all and Lane Kiffin is not a silver bullet to curing this culture problem. Dude has his work cut out and if you don’t think it will be a struggle I am sorry to tell you we are so far away from being ourselves again that it might take the better part of his contract.

That's what happens when they are already getting paid, they should have NIL penalties for opting out of bowl games. You sign a contract to play football for LSU. You opt out of football your NIL should stop or be owed back.

Looking at the defense friend

Needed all hands on deck for LSU to win its bowl game. If we are not playing to win every game on the schedule then what in the ever living frick are we doing as a program?

If we can’t get players who feel like they’d rather eat rat shite pellets than have LSU lose a single game then we are going to be the biggest cautionary tale that ever spawned out of the failed era of NIL and obscene coaching salaries.

College football is a mercenary business for players and coaches. Swinging for the homerun hire and throwing money around can backfire. LSU found that out the hard way. This season, and most of the last four years, proves it.

Now CLK inherits a depleted bowl roster. We’ve seen this movie before. Hopefully this time it ends better.

What gives you hope?

We are a fraud trading on past successes and a stadium experience that doesn’t exist anymore.

Plastic and fricking pathetic.

We need to drop prices and get back to our way of doing things.

The end of one season and looking ahead to a new coach and way of thinking provides optimism. Could it turn out to be as bad as the Orgeron and Kelly endings - sure.

I am just not as emotionally invested in it compared to when I was young.

Nobody is
Even the young people don’t care, they just know that we are supposedly good and to be honest it is a great psy op by the marketers.

Seriously, most can’t even sniff a ticket to an empty stadium game and their LSU loving dads don’t even know who the players are to explain to them who is worth a shite.

You’re a kid. Hodson’s last one was FAR worse.

I don’t disagree in principle, but a player could always say he is hurt and not play. You can’t penalize somebody if they are “injured”.

True but it has rivals.

The '98 season was super weird with Tepper's drop linebacker D and 1999 was even worse.
2008 Malveto defense a waste with Lee's pick 6s. We won the Troy game on a few miracles.
2020 with COVID and the opening blowout loss to Moo U was a warning of the weirdness to come. The fact that O hired Pelini without interviewing to run "dat 4-3 defense" was comical.

Entering into the NFL draft "Injured" hurts your draft stock.

I agree that 98 was shocking.

08 was always going to be dicey with Bo leaving and Perriloux fricking up prior to the season.

This shite here takes the cake for me though. Reasonably high expectations just dissolved into nothing, total implosion.
