30 miles down the beach from the Padre Island National Seashore welcome center. We got 15 of them between 2.5-3 lbs today. Without a doubt the best fish for gourmet cooking. Fished out in the second gut.

Fish bites? Peeled shrimp on the bottom?
And congrats! My favorite fish. I broil them in lemon butter, when I’m lucky enough to get on them.

One summer at Perdido Key some kids showed me how to catch sand fleas and put them on a C rig for Pomps.

First ones (and only) I've ever caught but we took them to the condo and cooked them, fine table fare.

Nice. Gf and I both have to work on Friday, so we aren't going anywhere on Christmas day, it'll just by her and I most likely. We are going to go to the beach tomorrow morning and try and catch some pomps and whatever else wants to bite. Weather is going to be perfect tomorrow here.

fish bites and peeled shrimp. h/ardest part is finding the tie downs to get the two together. They exist, mostly in the salmon egg shelf
