5k would be about my max budget. I've seen the pulsar thermion series scopes and they're nice. I plan to do tracking and using heat signatures, etc. Don't really need any of the video/wifi/Bluetooth tech.
Any suggestions?

I’d take a look at the Nocpix line and compare to thermion.

I have a Thermion 2 XP50 I bought a few years ago and now I’m wanting the Nocpix Ace S60R. I thought about just getting the newest Thermion but some reviews have the Nocpix as a better optic.

I wanted one to use as a monocular, and a scope if I ever needed. Went with a Nocpix Slim H35. No complaints at all. It's also my first thermal, so can't compare it to much. But it's perfect for my application.

Eta: also about half your budget

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into all these (and probably reply again with questions)

I have the pulsar xp60. It’s extremely nice. The batteries are stout and the scope comes with an ADM qd mount.
