I was surprised by the (West) Virginians. They were the only team that got all the cheese down the hill in one trip by using the carriers as sleds. The guy is smart, but the wife is a crybaby.

None of them stuck out as "I'm the token gay" to me unlike Starr's brother last season. Perhaps my gaydar needs adjusting.

I felt bad for the dude from Auburn. His gf sucked. He carried her the whole time and then she couldn't even run by herself at the very end with people in front of them. She jumped on his back. I would tell her to hit the bricks sally.

Well I only knew about Mel & Mike being gay father and son from their pre-show bios and then Mike said so in their opening clip. Neither one would have pinged my gaydar.
And I can see how Luke would be under the radar since the editors are only focusing on his deafness.

The flight attendants thought they were going to be the hot chicks this season until they saw the cheer leaders. Now they're just some mildly attractive fake blondes.

Yeah the deaf angle is already completely played out. When they signed up in the 7:15 group after getting to switzerland, and he turned to his mom and signed "Nobody would have thought before this that a deaf guy could get in the top 4"....What the hell was that all about? Who here thinks deaf people have trouble reading a clue and then getting in a taxi? With help from their mom.
Their level of "Sharla and Myrnaness" is really going to piss me off this season.
