Portable Air Compressor

I have a dewalt battery powered compressor and it works great. However, it is expensive.
Any recommendations for portable compressors that work well, plug into the cigarette lighter (battery powered would also be nice) that don't break the bank?
Would like to get one for every car.

Not anything decent will plug into a 12V lighter port, decent ones require clamping directly to the battery. I have a Milwaukee M12 inflator I keep in my daily driver, has worked great for several years and I run it on a XC5.0 or 6.0 M12 battery, enough to top off truck tires multiple times without issue. The M12 inflator is $99 tool only, batteries aren't cheap but you can get a two pack of XC3.0's right now for $80 at Home Depot. So $140 per car for a solid tire inflator setup, throw the battery on the charger every few months or so just to keep it happy.

What will you use it for?

I've been using this one Slime 12v
Its $20 and has worked for me. Only use it in emergencies and to re-inflate after dropping tires 8lbs when traveling rough gravel roads.
Most importantly its small and lightweight. I hate hauling around unnecessary weight. Cheap enough I don't care if it gets stolen.

Viair.
It has alligator clips for direct power though.
