Massie: Epstein files’ release on Friday will show whether Bondi, Kash Patel were lying

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) on Thursday released a 14-minute video explaining what Americans can expect if the Department of Justice (DOJ) does or does not disclose all of its information on the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on its Friday deadline.
“Let’s start with how will you know if they have released all the materials,” Massie said. “Well, one of the ways we’ll know is there are people who have covered this case for years and I’ve talked to them in private and they know what some of the material is that’s back there.”
Massie said he has spoken with the victims’ lawyers “and collectively they know there are at least 20 names of men who are accused of sex crimes in the possession of the FBI,” he continued, referring to witness testimony given to FBI agents.
“If we get a large production on Dec. 19 and it does not contain a single name of any male who is accused of a sex crime or sex trafficking or rape or any of these things, then we know they haven’t produced all the documents,” Massie said. “It’s that simple.”
The Epstein Files Transparency Act also requires Attorney General Pam Bondi to comply with the law in releasing all the material in the DOJ’s possession. If she does not, Massie said her successor in President Trump’s or in a future administration must comply with the law and release all the files.
“It’s unique, it’s different than if it were a subpoena,” Massie said, later adding to this point that there is no “expiration date” to the law.
The Kentucky Republican also said there was “progress” with judges ordering the release of grand jury material in connection with the Epstein files. Massie reiterated the law’s requirement to redact names and identities of victims and the names of anyone who is under or part of an investigation.
Massie called out House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on this point. He said the Speaker “repeatedly said that the release of this material would endanger victims. In fact, in the week before we passed it, he kept repeating that lie and we had to keep pointing him back to the law and show him the chapter and verse where it says, ‘No, redact the victims’ names and information.'”
He also said that Bondi told lawmakers she had “tons of material” on Epstein on her desk before she “eventually changed her story to say that there’s no material. The only thing that really exists anymore is c sex abuse material and pornography and that she wasn’t going to release any of that.”
“Well, we know that’s not true, we know that she has more material,” Massie said. “So that puts her in an interesting position she’s going to have to prove or give proof, evidence that shows that she wasn’t forthcoming in her previous statements.”
The Republican lawmaker also recalled when FBI Director Kash Patel testified under oath before lawmakers that there was “no credible information” that would implicate any other individuals other than Epstein. When asked by Massie about testimonies in FBI possession, Patel said his staff had reviewed those testimonies and “that he trusted them,” the lawmaker said.
“This sets up an interesting situation because when they produce these materials, what we’re going to find out is they are in possession of evidence that other men may have been guilty,” Massie said. “And it’s going to be credible evidence because there’s going to be, I believe, multiple corroborating witnesses, i.e. the victims who’ve given statements, and those are in the possession of the FBI.”
“Again, we’ll know if they’re giving us all those documents if they produce documents that have names of men on them,” he continued. “So, let’s see what happens Friday.”
Massie expects he and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), who led the discharge petition to force the House to vote on compelling the DOJ to release all the files, will answer questions and react if the files on Epstein are or are not released on CBS News’s “Face the Nation.” Either way, Massie said they will talk about “what we’ve learned and what they’ve produced.”
He also said there was no ambiguity with the law and what the law requires to be released. President Trump “has agreed to comply with this law” and Bondi “has to comply with it,” and there will be penalties if she does not, Massie said.
“This is a very unique situation. … This is a case where the president who appointed the attorney general and for whom the attorney general works has signed the law and the ink is not even dry yet on his signature on this law,” he said. “There’s nothing subject to interpretation.”

They will release what they want you to release, protect who they want to protect and nobody will do anything about it. When did the law ever matter to the DC filth on either side of the aisle?

I think it’s grotesque that massie, the “victims” et al are turning this into a game show where you have to wait till tomorrow to see the juicy resolution/ending
They are making a mockery of it
Just release all the files, loser. Stop milking it for money, widower.

Massie, nor MAGA pre-Trump reelection, was the one trying to stop a 100% release of the Epstein files.

Massie is such a douche bag. He gave Bondi full control over redactions. He will complain about redactions. Book it.

Link a single poster saying they don’t want the files released. Why did groomer Massie hand complete redaction control to someone he says is protecting pedos?
