Why did the democrats change their minds on sunsetting the Covid ACA subsidies?

Nobody forced the democrats to put a 2025 sunset in their 2021 legislation that included expanded ACA subsidies for those that didn’t qualify under pre-Covid ACA rules.
Joe Biden and most democrats went on the record in 2021 saying a 2025 sunset of the temporary expanded subsidies was sensible, since Covid would be over by then and the economy would be back to normal.
A complete 180 happened. They now want the Covid era temporary subsidies to be made permanent.
For the handful of dems on this board, I have a handful of questions:
1) The original subsidy structure that existed from 2013-2020 was not the result of compromise. It was exactly what the dems wanted when they controlled all 3 levels of government in 2010, and it is what Obama proudly signed into law. What changed your mind on income limits for ACA subsidies? Did Obama and the dems err when they put limits on ACA subsidies?
2) Biden and elected dems were adamant that the temporary Covid era subsidies for wealthier individuals/families was in response to high unemployment and other pandemic-related economic issues, and would be phased out when Covid ended. What changed your mind to the point that you now support permanent ACA subsidies for groups that Obama-era dems did not think were deserving of subsidies?

…. because that was their plan all along.
In order to achieve their stated goal of state-run healthcare, the left must first dirty-up the current system … by any means necessary.
