Trumps Statement

While I don’t agree with how Trump worded his statement about Meathead…..the reason it bothers me is because of the millions of voters the R’s could potentially lose.
I don’t care about decorum. I care about Vance becoming the next POTUS and the upcoming mid terms.
Just as the comments about Kirk helped swing national opinion of the Democrats into the negative, this type of comment will do the same for our side.
And anyone who sees this as helping us achieve that goal is simply being naive.

My wife (no pics) has been a supporter since he first came down the escalator, has attended rallies, etc. Even she agrees it was stupid.

Kirk was murdered a couple months before the elections and the left spent most of that time celebrating and openly wishing more people on the right were murdered in a similar fashion. How have the elections been going for the Dems since their ghoulish reactions??

Time will tell. in my experience Trump is usually a few steps ahead of everyone so I’ve leaned not to bet against him when it appears he’s made a blunder.

Vance will expertly distance himself from the less appealing aspects of Trump.
This tweet will be a distant memory in 1 week. Sure Trump should have remained silent on Reiner’s death, but that tweet won’t be held against Vance.

The statement was not gracious or tasteful but if someone who was part of a political movement that tried to assainate me, raided my house, accused me of crimes, and tried to impeach me multiple times met with an unfortunate end, I am not sure that I could construct an especially gracious response.
