Just needs 106 passing yards to break Rattler's record

ETA: Rookie TD pass record is also in play today... 1 to tie... 2 to break

The Saints rookie passing record is by far the funniest rookie passing mark.

Ok?

Shuck will still break the record.

He didn’t start until week 6? With the same type of bad roster as Archie.

What’s your point?

Eh. He was implying that Archie would have a lot more yards if he didn’t get hurt.

It was good info to me... I was not alive for Archie's rookie season so I had no idea he missed half the season due to injury

I looked it up and obviously New Orleans has the lowest mark with 1317 but Green Bay is 2nd lowest with 1416 and then Kansas City with 1484 so I think to call it by far the funniest rookie passing mark is pretty dumb.

Green Bay's 1416 was set in 1952 by Babe Parelli.

Only 2 QBs in Green Bay history have thrown for over 1000 yards as a rookie, Parelli and Scott Hunter (1971). Jordan Love's 411 yards as a rookie is 6th all time in the 3rd oldest franchise in the NFL's books.

Kansas City's 1484 was set in 1979 by Steve Fuller and he is by far the only rookie QB with over 1000 yards in KC history. Second place is Bill Kenney in 1980 with 542. Patrick Mahomes' 284 yards as a rookie is 7th.

So with 280 yards in the last 4 games, Shough will pass 2 other franchises marks.

Shough has tied the TD mark and surpassed the franchise mark...he has also passed the Packers mark of 1416 yards making us not dead last in rookie passing yards

Update... broke the yards record & tied the touchdown record

If he's able to go next week after the beating he took today... no reason he shouldn't break the TD record next week

One TD today would tie Archie Manning’s rookie record from 1971, while two would make Shough the franchise’s all-time rookie leader.

I hope he breaks all of Archie's records. Except INTs and losses, of course.

Sounds like a bigger deal than it is.

After Archie we brought in Stabler. Hebert wasn't a rookie. Walsh, Everett, the Billy Joe's...all imports. We traded for AB. Drew was a veteran free agent.

The Packers traded for Favre, and A-Rod and Love sat behind first ballot Hall of Famers as rookies.

Yes, I understand that. I only mentioned Archie’s injury to explain why the rookie record was only 1100 yds
