for Nuss to flip the script and play in Texas Bowl. Now he will go down infamously in LSU history as the only QB to "opt out" of playing in not 1 but 2 bowl games! Looking back I wish he would have played against KState then we wouldn't have had to watch him endure a horrible Senior season due to injury, etc. Still pulling for him as a professional. Touch ending to his career. Go make some money and make us Tiger fans proud.

That would actually be a great ending for his career, if he’s actually healthy enough to play.
What a weird season with his “injuries”. If he can tough it out & play through it, then do it. We’ve seen that even an injured Nuss > MVB.

Did he out out? Or injured? We dont know that with any certainty

Sure seems like he quit on his team when Frank announced that he would share reps with MVB.. I hope that wasn't the case

I've never got the hate for this kid. He did it the right way, stayed loyal to LSU when he could have transferred, and it just didn't work out his SR year.

He made 3 million this year. Didn’t come close to producing to what he earned and poured and quit on his team when he got benched.
If this was 10 years ago, I wouldn’t bash him but now I think it’s fair game especially when someone gets that kind of money.

And he made 3.6 mil this season in NiL money. Talk about no return on investment.

Absolutely sure about that. Nuss was 18 of 21 for 121 yards vs Alabama, with 2 FGs, before Frank Wilson unceremoniously pulled him for MVB who proceeded to stink up the field. I knew Wilson would never be HC after that ill-timed move.

That’s the game you use to justify Nuss is better?
Nuss threw the ball past the line of scrimmage maybe five times in 21 attempts and no more than five yards down field. He was horrendous vs Bama. If MVB starts that entire game, we win.

So he can play hurt all year long according to the apologist that keep using this excuse but can’t tough out one more game for the tigers? Give me a break.
Call it what it is. He has QUIT.

Eh...you say that now... but watching him chuck UH a triple covered INT after taking 18 yds in sacks would change your mind

What did MVB do against Bama that would make you believe that? All I remember was him misfiring pointblank to a wide open Trey'Dez Green.
MVB played four terrible games at the tail end of the season. I know he'll be there in the bowl but I hope to never see him again on a football field, after that game.

Kinda glad the collective got burned. Might teach these companies and individuals to be more cautious on who they….pay.

I remember him throwing the ball downfield and making tight throws. Bama was surprisingly MVB’s best game. He also had three bad drops from the receivers and TDG.
