Bought a center console boat. Plan to use it for bay fishing and on Sam Rayburn.

Starting to think about Summer Getaways.

What are the lakes, rivers, beaches and locations we should consider visiting? Thinking 3 or 4 day weekends...or even week long vacays with wife and kids.

Are there specific VRBO's or Airbnb's you've enjoyed that included boat access?

We live in Lafayette but would consider traveling across the South for a quick getaway or vacay.

I've trailered my bay boat to Perdido Key/Orange Beach and rented VRBO's on the bay side which have boat hoists or slips. It gives you boating access as well as beach access for the family.

Outdoor Board is probably your best bet.

I’ve never done this with my boat but I have friends who take their boats to Dauphin Island every year.

Lake Ouachita in Arkansas is very nice. If you want restaurants and a place on the water, Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs is very nice but much more crowded and smaller than Ouachita. Mountain Harbor resort on Ouachita is a great place to stay.
