With a lot of teams deciding not to play in a bowl game and bowl committees scrambling to fill the void, is there anything keeping a team from playing in two bowl games?
The games would need to be weeks apart and the matchup would have to be very exciting to start with.

They just take lesser teams.

MooU is 5-7 and going bowling.

Makes bowl games even more worthless to just take someone, anyone, to fill a spot.

Who TF wants to go to NC for the Mayonaisse Bowl at night in January in what looks like open stadium.

how so?

Texas Bowl has a larger Payout than Mayo Bowl
Texas Bowl is on a Saturday night where as Mayo Bowl is on a Friday night.
waaaay too far to accurately predict, but temps will likely be in the 40's for Mayo Bowl Texas Bowl is indoors.

Miss State fans have about a 9-10 hour drive to get there and have pretty much no alumni base in that area.
LSU fans have a 4 hour drive (many less than that) and a huge alumni base in the host city.

The contracts the schools sign when the accept the bowl bid.

None of these lower bowls are going to allow a school to play in their bowl only to play in a "bigger bowl" weeks later.

It’s where the administration wanted to go.Theres a big alumni base and is close. If you don’t make the playoffs what does it matter.True tiger fans will be there and not the sky is falling LSU is better than that crowd, support the team and quit bitching.

The mayo dunk is unmatched.

North Carolina has natural beauty to enjoy whereas Houston is a concrete jungle.

We've been to the Texas bowl so many times now it's a bit stale.

Way too many bowl games today. I’ve said that for years.

There was a time when a bowl game was a reward for an at least moderately successful season.

Now, with 82 bowl slots for 136 FBS teams, it’s literally more mathematically difficult to miss out on a bowl bid than it is to get one.

Participation Trophy society.

so does Hawai'i, but that's not a good bowl.

The anything would be the cost in time to prepare and lost opportunity to evaluate and fine tune the staff.

Admittedly, it is juvenile fun. But still fun.
